I just wanted to throw this out there into the cyber-world of blogsville.
A pastor receives his "calling" to get into the ministry from God.
What if the calling he received, came from Satan? What would his church look like?
It would not be so obvious as to show himself as being from the Devil. In truth it is possible that the Pastor that has been called by Satan is not even aware of it. It is possible that he truly believes his calling came from God. But what of his message behind the pulpit? Does he mention repentance of Sin? Does he mention God's Law? Does he mention the need to be obedient to God's Word? Does he tell you that you need to be born-again?
If he doesn't -- then he is not giving the message that would come from God.
and here is more if he has answered the wrong call...
is he a joke teller? so as not to allow anyone to be convicted of their sins!
is he a story teller? so as not to allow anyone a chance to grow in God's Word!
Does he use just one line of Scripture and base his whole sermon on it? so as to be able to take it "out of context!"
Does he not hit the streets in an effort to reach the lost? (and no, saying he has to intentionally "try" to reach one person per month does not cut it!! -- this shows his lack of obedience to God's Word.
Is your church more interested in you being in a happy family atmosphere?
Is your church feeling like you are so blessed because your pastor is just the nicest guy in the world (regardless of his lack of use of words like sin, repentance, obedience, etc)
The world will love those people who belong to the world!
The world will hate those who faithfully preach God's Word without compromise because it first hated God!
Are you starting to look at your church and your pastor with a discerning eye yet? There are no "perfect" churches but that is NO EXCUSE for not even trying to preach the way Jesus did! Read this one more time and put it to memory...
OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S WORD
REPENTANCE OF SINS
GOD'S LAW (THE TEN COMMANDMENTS)
BORN-AGAIN, NEW LIFE, NEW CREATURE
THE GREAT COMMISSION IS NOT JUST A GOOD IDEA THAT ONE PERSON SHOULD DO!
FAITH AND TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE!

Once again, awesome post.
We want to make a call to our pastor to sit down and discuss the reasons we left our church with him. It will be tough. He did our wedding ceremony, he counseled me when I was suicidal, etc. But he must know.
You made some awesome points! I never really thought about it in the "called from Satan" way. It makes sense! He wants them to preach the happiness gospel because he KNOWS there will be trials and tribulations that will cause people to fall away. Makes so much sense!
