A Flying Squirrel, A Boxer and Many Beaches, and the strength of the salvation of a false believer...What do they have in common?

Rocky the Flying Squirrel was super popular back in the 60's when I was growing up! He always hung around Bullwinkle. What a pair they made!

Rocky Balboa was very popular back in the 80's and 90's for his never give up boxing style. He hung around his old time trainer (the penguine from the original batman series). What a pair they made!

The rocky beaches can be both beautiful and bad at the same time. Beautiful to look at, but not so great to walk on next to the beach. It can always be seen hanging out with lots of water! What an awe inspiring pair these two make!

And some fell upon a rock, and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. Luke 8:6

Now the parable is this, the seed is the word of God. Luke 8:11

They on the rock{are they}, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation, fall away. Luke 8:13

Being a Christian can be very popular at any time. That was not always the case. Men and women were killed for their faith in Jesus Christ. Even today, in other parts of the world, Christians are being killed for believing in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The problem is here in America. We have a President that denies that this country ever has been and is not currently a Christian nation. He does not want to offend his muslim friends. There will come a time here in America where the Christians will be killed for their faith. Either theyaccept Jesus or deny Him. One will give life here on earth, the other will give life eternally in heaven. For the one who gains life on earth, he will lose his life to hell and forever be in damnation, forever in suffering pain and agony. Many self professing Christians accepted Jesus by simply saying a magical little prayer and they think that will get them into heaven. Unless they repent, they will fall away from God and they will go to hell. In spite of their supposed goodness, they will still be tossed into the eternal fire.

How many people do you know that lack fruit? They call themselves Christians but do not want to go to church? They say the church is full of hypocrites. They say they are a good person because of Jesus even though, they still lie, cheat, fornicate, commit adultery, blaspheme God's Holy Name, break the Sabbath, worship idols and so on. They do not understand that it is not their goodness that will get them into heaven. It is also not only calling on the name of Jesus and saying you believe in Him. The Devil believes and he trembles. Every knee shall bow, and that includes you and me. The saved as well as the unsaved. The liar, the thief and the homosexual will all bow down to face the God of wrath and be sentenced to eternal hell. Only those people who repent of their sins will see heaven. Only those who accept Jesus as BOTH LORD AND SAVIOR will go to heaven.

Many people say they want to go to heaven, but they don't get it. Jesus will be there. They don't want to go to church because Jesus is there and His Word is sharper than any two-edged sword. They don't want to go to church because they would have to sit with other Christians. They say they want to go to heaven and at the same time, they deny the power of God to transform their lives. They continue to live in their sins. Girls sleeping with older men (unmarried), tattoo's all over their bodies, even though God's Word is against that. Blaspheming the name of God. Some people just do not want God to convict them of their sins while they are living here on earth because that would mean they would have to give up their sins. No, they would rather enjoy their sins for a season and hope they get saved before they die. That is not a good game to play with God.

Seed and bad rocky ground do not make a good match. When trials and temptations come, the person professing to be a Christian will fall away from the faith and his latter end will be worse that the first.

How is your seed planted? Good soil that allows you to grow strong regardless of what is happening to you? Or is it in the rocky ground? Where it lacks tears of a broken and contrite heart before God? You need to take a look at yourself in the mirror of God's Word, the Ten Commandments. Can you see just how sinful, sinfilled, you are? Repent of your sins today for today is the Day of Salvation!
