Sodom in America!

Too many times we think of Sodom and Gomorrah and being so very vile and the worst of the worst.  They were completely destroyed by God so that MUST mean they were the worst that has ever been!

WRONG!

In fact, I think you will find that there are others since then that are far worse than Sodom and Gomorrah.

[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.    Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.    Ezekiel 16:48-49

Jerusalem was worse than Sodom because they knew God.  They knew what was expected of them and they still strayed from Him.

And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.    But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.    Matthew 11:23-24

Capernaum was worse than Sodom because they saw the miracles of Jesus and did not believe.  Had Sodom seen those miracles they still would have been around today.

Now, what about America?

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.    Ezekiel 16:48-49

Pride...
Fullness of bread...
Abundance of idleness...
Did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy...

Pride -- America the Great.  The Greatest nation in the world!  No one is our equal.  We can do what we want to do.
Fullness of bread -- we are the richest nation.  We have it all available to us.  We are gluttons in the grandest sense of the word!
Abundance of idleness -- we have now reached a time in America where 51% of America is either unemployed or underemployed.  They are all on welfare from the government!
Did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy -- in fact, our government is causing more and more people to become poor and needy.  High paying jobs are no longer around.  Foreclosures are higher than ever right now.  Gas prices are soaring.

The very things that Sodom and Gomorrah were guilty of originally, are the very things that we Americans are guilty of right now.  What was the natural consequence of their actions?

Homosexuality ran rampant in the city!
Starting to sound like America yet to you?

Pray that God has mercy on America.  Our nation needs to get back to God and needs to do it quickly.

All I can say is...

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.    Revelationn 22:20

How many times must this be said??

For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves:
[it is] the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

The more you listen to preachers the more I am convinced that many of them are high on themselves.  They will brag about what "they" do and if "you" are not doing the same things, then you must not be saved.  The problem is that the things they say that they do are no where to be found in the bible.  I pray that you all understand that by grace, the ultimate love of God for His creations, the acknowledgment of us not being worthy on our own merits, that we might be saved through faith and NOT by works, why?  Lest any man should boast!

Are you saved?  If you are, then there are some things that you should be doing.  You should be displaying the fruits of the spirit.  You should be helping the homeless, the widows, the unloved.  You should be the light that shines in the darkness.  You should not be doing those things because you think it will get you to heaven. NO.  You do them because you are a saved Christian, who understands the price that Jesus paid on your behalf!

Many people will quote the above scripture and say, "By grace are you saved, not by works lest any man should boast."

The problem is what has been left out.  THROUGH FAITH.  When we truly understand that it is through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved, then we will experience the wonderful GIFT OF GOD!

My prayer for you today is that you submit yourself to the One who paid for your punishment by shedding His blood on the cross.  Bow down to Jesus Christ and submit to Him as your Lord and Saviour.  For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son (his unique Son, the one and only Son of God), that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Please do not fall for the works mentality of many preachers today.  We serve a God that is 100% Love and 100% Wrath.  If you know Jesus as Lord and Saviour and you have repented of your sins, then you will experience the 100% Love.  If you are trying to "earn" your way to heaven by way of works, then you have missed the mark.  You will ultimately see Jesus as 100% Wrath.

Humble yourself today.  Submit to Him.  Repent of your sins and know that it is through faith in Jesus that God has extended His grace towards you.  You then, will truly be blessed.

Don't we serve and awesome God?

Eli the Priest could have done so much more for God!

The Ark of the Covenant

Beautiful, isn't it?  The Ark of the Covenant?  The ark that holds the Ten Commandments from God!  It just seems to exude holiness, might and power that comes from God.  Designed wholly, holy and soley by God it is not something to be taken lightly.  Let's take a journey to the past.

You have the first five books of the Bible.  Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.  Followed by Joshua, Judges and Ruth.  Then we get into the story of Samuel.  This is a wonderful story of the boy prophet of God.  But prior to this time we see a great picture of a woman and a priest.  The woman is Hannah.  Samuel's mother was barren and had no children.  So she went to the tabernacle to pray to God for a man-child and she says she will give her child to the Lord to be in service to Him all his days.  While she is praying, we meet up with the Priest, Eli.  He observes Hannah praying.  She is praying within herself, moving her lips but not speaking out loud.  Eli perceives that she is drunken.

Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.  1 Samuel 1:13-14

Eli was very direct with her.  Sounds like he was even kind of stern with her.  Now, let's consider something.  If you were a priest in the tabernacle and you saw someone bent over, being quiet and just moving their lips, would you consider them to be drunk?  Wouldn't the normal reaction be if someone was loud and obnoxious, they would seem to be drunk?  Not someone who was quietly staying still while praying.  To me, there is a discernment issue here on his part.  Now, we will move ahead just a little bit to two other people that he confronts and see how his discernment looks with them.

Now the sons of Eli [were] sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD. Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.   Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled [at] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.  And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.  Nay, my sons; for [it is] no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD'S people to transgress.  If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.  1 Samuel 2:12, 17, 22-25

At first look, it appears that Eli says the right things to his two sons, but when you look closely at it, it is very much a soft rebuke.  As the priest in the tabernacle, and his sons would have been priests too, he should have been much more stern with them.  It almost sounds like he had a stern approach with a woman praying and not with two men having sex with women in the tabernacle.  True, Eli is an old man here, but it seems like he allowed his two boys to get away with quite a bit in the tabernacle, God's holy place!  How sad to think that many of today's churches allow too much tom-foolery in their buildings.

There is so much to tell in this book of the bible.  I am overlooking a ton of information on Samuel and who he was and what he did.  Please forgive me on this one, I will attend to the scriptures soon again on Samuel.

As we get into the 4th chapter of 1 Samuel, we learn that the Philistines are going into battle against Israel.  Israel is losing so they take drastic measures...

And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.  1 Samuel 4:3

Time to pull out the bag of tricks.  The Ark of the Covenant will save the day!  The problem is, guess who the ark was with.  The two sons of Eli, the ones that did not serve the Lord, the ones who desecrated the tabernacle with their unholy actions and attitudes.  The ones that received an ever so slight rebuke from their father the priest.

And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen.  And the ark of God was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.  1 Samuel 4:10-11

The Ark of the Covenant is in the hands of the Philistines now.  Why?  Because Israel did not follow after the counsel of God.  Israel has a long history of doing things their own way.  When a man runs back to Shiloh, to the city where the tabernacle is, along with Eli...

And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.   1 Samuel 4:18

And thus, the actions of the priest, Eli, come to an end.  No wait, there is one more thing.
The wife of his son was pregnant during this time.  When she found out that her husband was dead as well as Eli AND that the Ark of the Covenant was taken she went into labor, gave birth and died.

And what was the name of her son?

Ichabod --
the glory of the Lord is departed.

This is such a sad end to what could have been an awesome history lesson.  This could have been a story of Eli, the man who disciplined his two sons at an early age and kept them in line.  The two boys might have been true followers of God, the Ark might not have been taken (it was returned later).  Samuel, still could have been an awesome Prophet of God, a judge of the people.

How about you?  Are you making decisions today based on what God says you should be doing?  Or are you doing things your own way?  I believe that Eli was most likely a good man but I truly believe that he could have done so much more for God!

Christian Camp Questions...

                                           Brian and Diana

I am seeking advice from the Christian Community.  My wife and I are interested in developing a Christian Camp for disadvantaged children.  This would be a place where children can come to learn about God, have fellowship with games, activities, chores, meals and responsibilities.  It would be no cost for the kids.  The children would be referred to us by social services, school districts, police departments, etc.  Most likely we would serve children from ages 7-13 (or somewhere around those ages).  We are still in the planning stages.  It would be funded completely by donations with no government assistance.  So, with this all being said, here are my questions...

1. How do we begin?  (of course, prayer is the beginning of it all)

Okay, that is my list of question(s)!

Until I get the beginning down, I am not sure what other questions to ask just yet.  I really want to see what kind of advice people can give me for this venture.  My wife and I are both called to serve God in a powerful way for these kids.  Please help us by lifting us up in prayer.  Diana and I (Brian) really would appreciate your support.  We are praying for you all.

You Know What You Know. Right?

You know what you know, or at least you think you know what you know.  Right?  You do realize that you don't know everything.  No one does.  Right?  With this being said, are you ready for an eye opening lesson?

You know what you know, you know what you don't know but did you realize that you don't know what you don't know?  Let me put this in a type of chart for you.

              KNOW                                                       DON'T KNOW

                Know                                                        Don't Know
           Don't Know

It is obvious you know what you know.  You KNOW your name.  You KNOW where you live.  You KNOW that you love God.  I could go on and on with this.

There are also other things that you KNOW that you DON'T KNOW.   You DON'T KNOW quantive physics.  You Know that you Don't Know quantive physics.  You Know that you Don't Know how to perform brain surgery.  These are things you know.  And again, I could go on and on describing things that you KNOW that you DON'T KNOW these things.

There is another angle I want to share with you.  There are things that you DON'T KNOW and you DON'T KNOW that you DON'T KNOW these things.  Let me explain.

Prior to coming to my site here, had you not heard about me or seen anything from me before, I would be something or someone that you did not know that you did not know.  As of now, you can say that at one point in time, I did not know about this site.  But now, I can honestly say that I KNOW that I DID NOT KNOW about this site.  But prior to coming here, you had no idea that you DID NOT KNOW about me.  You DID NOT KNOW THAT YOU DID NOT KNOW ME.  You were completely unaware about me.

So, let me say it again and see if it now makes sense.

You KNOW what you KNOW, you also KNOW what you DON'T KNOW and you DON'T KNOW what you DON'T KNOW.

Confused?  Yes!  Now you know that you don't know what I am talking about.  So in other words, it makes complete sense!

As you go through life -- take time to be aware of the things you know.  Embrace the things you do not know.  And challenge yourself to be open to the things that you don't know that you don't know.

God is bigger than we can possibly imagine.  His knowledge is so immense compared to our tiny little brains.  Is it just possible that God is ready to show you something that you never ever thought about?  Something that you don't know that you don't know?  Seek wisdom from our Almighty God.  He is ready to open/show things to you if you will only open your eyes and open your ears.  Let the blind see and the deaf hear!

We serve a mighty God.  Go into the world proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.  And don't look back.  The simplicity of Christ will take all confusion away.

God bless you all today.  May His blessing be with you always!

Stay true to the whole gospel message

I posted the following post back in 2008 shortly after getting married.  I wanted to repost it as I continue to see the same mentality in people when it comes to God and His Word.  The youth were given a message of love, hope and a need for a Saviour.   But this message seems to have struck a nerve with a certain woman pastor (that should provide a clue right there).  Follow along here and comment at the end and let me know what you think.  I pray you have a blessed day in the Lord!
******************************************************************************

I was recently asked to be a clergy leader for a Weekend experience (used to be called Chrysalis). My talk was supposed to be on "God Accepted." Those of you who have followed me for some time now can probably guess how my sermon went. It lasted 20 minutes.

Here is a copy of the outline I was supposed to follow.

Talk #8 God Accepted Clergy

Overview:
This talk will help the participants understand how one accepts or rejects the love that is being offered by God. Just as a person is able to choose whether or not to relate with others, they can choose whether or not to relate with God. Out and out denial is easy to recognize, but the subtleties of partial acceptance (partial denial) sometimes eludes us. A person finds fulfillment when one fully accepts the relationship offered by God.

Schedule:
Saturday, 6:00-6:20 p.m. (20 minutes)

Suggested Themes:
Your talk should follow the overview while still being your own story. You may use some of the suggested themes, your own ideas, or a mixture of the two as God leads you. You don’t need to follow the suggested themes in order. Remember that your talk should be about 20 minutes long.

· Remind participants of what is being offered to them.
· God offers forgiveness.
· God offers us a love relationship with Jesus Christ.
· God offers fulfillment and happiness.
· Discuss how a person can accept or reject a relationship with Christ. Remind candidates that this must be done of your own free will; parents or friends cannot accept Christ for you.
· We are persons of freewill, not puppets.
· Discuss the consequences of denying the relationship that God offers us. We will be cut off from God as describe in the vine and the branches in John 15:1-17.
· Discuss the benefits of accepting a relationship with Christ. We will hunger for God; we will find reconciliation, security and the peace that passes all understanding.
· Explain what can be hoped for when we say “yes” to a relationship with God.
· Explain what faith is and how a relationship with Christ is an expression of faith.
· Tell how faith is the foundation of the relationship with Christ.
· What does it mean to deny self? How does that affect my relationship with Jesus?
· Close with the 4 Spiritual Laws and pray the prayer of acceptance. Let the candidates know that they can pray silently. Let them know that if they prayed the prayer of acceptance and meant in their hearts what they prayed that they should seek out an adult on the team sometime this evening and confess with their mouths.

Suggested Scripture:
Spend time with God in prayer and in your Bible as you write and develop your talk. Some suggested scriptures are given below but God may also lead you to other verses and passages.

John 10:10 Jesus came so we may have life and have it to the full.
John 15:1 – 17 Jesus is the vine and we are the branches.
Acts 4:12 There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Romans 3:21 – 26 All have sinned and fallen short.
Romans 10:9 Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord.
********************************************************************************
So with that in mind, here is what I told the group in our practice session.

I started off asking everyone there this question...
How many people here have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior?
(every hand went up)
I then asked this next question and it was silent!
How many people here have been accepted by God?

I had their attention! Now they were ready to listen.
I quoted John 3:16 and told them what the word "Believe" really means. I told them it was an action word based less on the intellect on more on the obedience of the believer.
I talked about sin and the need to repent. I talked about how Jesus' first words in ministry were, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Basically, I gave them the whole gospel message.

I told them about repentance, obedience, faith and trust. I gave them the example of putting the Lord Jesus on as told in the bible. An airplane is going to crash and you are told there is a parachute under the seat. What are you going to do with that parachute? Will you just believe that it will save you? NO! You will put it on. For without it, you will die! The same way with Jesus. Just believing is not good enough. Not if it is only an intellectual belief, for even the Devil believes and trembles. I followed all of that up with the Love of God in sending His Son to die on the cross for us. We do not have the right to make up our own set of rules on how to get into heaven. God has given us His Word and His Word tells us what we must do.

Repent of our sins, for without repentance, there is no salvation!
Put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you!
Be obedient to His Word.
Be holy just as He is holy! Without holiness, no one will enter heaven!

I talked about the choice that each person must make. Their decision will have eternal consequences.

When the talk was over with, I went into another room with one other pastor and one of the team leaders of the Weekend. The team leader was all smiles and just said, WOW! You really hit it right on the head with that talk!!

The other pastor (a woman pastor of a methodist church)...
She scolded me in front of the other man. She said that she did not like the message. She kept repeating, "Where is the hope? Where is the hope? Had she listened to the sermon she would have heard me say that the only hope we have is in Jesus Christ. Otherwise, we are all destined for hell. She said I shouldn't have talked about the Law of God and about sin. She said that many people who will be listening on the Weekend will be atheist and they don't want to hear about sin. They want to hear about hope.

As far as she was concerned, the Holy Spirit had no chance of saving those people with my sermon. I had mentioned in the sermon how many people just sit in church and do not take their faith out into the streets where it belongs. She said I was attacking churches and she did not like that.

After we prayed we went back into the room of other people (a mix of adult leaders and high school boys who are acting as leaders too)
They all gave their reviews of my sermon.
They loved it! They all had that WOW statement.

It's as if they had never heard a sermon about repentance and how important it is to their walk with Christ. I pray that the lady pastor is convicted within her heart. She seems to be another one of those entertainment valued pastors. Tell a couple of jokes and then tell nothing but "feel good" messages. Mustn't offend anyone!!

I want to encourage all people reading this today.
You will all have opportunities to talk to someone about Christ. It might be the only opportunity you get. Will you give them a soft gospel filled with God's love and nothing else? Or, will you give them the whole gospel message of sin and the need to repent followed by God's love? If you do the first one, if they die without repenting of their sins, you have done them no favors by talking to them. Without repentance there is no salvation! Period!

I pray that you give them what they need to hear. If they are offended by God's Word (much like this lady pastor), then do not worry. It is not our job to do the "saving," we leave that up to God! Our job is to present the whole gospel message. Will you do it?

by the way, the lady pastor told me next time to be sure to follow the outline. What outline will you follow when talking to people? The best outline available is found in the Bible. Just do as Jesus and the Disciples did! Law to the Proud, Grace to the Humble!  For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God...

But praise be to God, He sent his only begotten Son to take our punishment upon Himself, that by faith in Him we can have eternal life.  Have you given your life to Christ yet?  Don't wait another day, we are living in the End Times as you read this message!

God is 100% Love
God is 100% Wrath

which side of the fence are you sitting on?

As President of the USA I could have made a difference!

http://time2changechurches.blogspot.com/2007/11/i-want-to-run-for-president-of-united.html

Prior to the last election, I had written a blog on how I wanted to be your next President of the United States of America.

Well it is time for an update:

2012 will be the year that Brian Culver runs for President! You need a person like me to run this country. Here is why...

10. I tell great jokes
09. I like to take vacations too (each month!)
08. I know how to read teleprompters
07. I was born in America and can prove it. I typed up my own birth certificate!
06. You can find my school records to verify who I am
05. I adopted my son, married my girlfriend, mowed the yard. I have done it all.
04. I am not a lawyer, I am not a lawyer. You can't make me, you can't make me!! (Gilligan)
03. I am not a millionaire so I can relate to most people
02. I still only have about $75 to my name. Where is my pepsi??
01. My name is not OBAMA

Seriously, here is why you should vote for me as a write in candidate for the 2012 election

10. I am saddened to see the direction this country is going
09. I am a Christian and will NOT do anything that contradicts the Word of God
08. I will not cater to the Muslims or any of the other evil sects out there
07. I am a blue collar worker. I know how to get my hands dirty
06. I have lived paycheck to paycheck most of my life
05. This IS and always has been a Christian nation. Just because someone does not like that, does not change the truth.
04. I promise CHANGE, I promise to bring integrity back to the office of President
03. I will see to it that our country is protected at home first and foremost (right to bear arms will always exist in my administration!)
02. I will enforce illegal immigration laws!
01. My name is not OBAMA

And Jesus said, "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." Barak means lightening Bama means high places. Did Jesus see Satan as Barack Obama? Let's get him out of the office of president. Elect me! I am a child of God! This nation was founded on the principles of for the people, by the people and of the people (something like that!)

I am not perfect but I could sure use a vacation every month! Elect Brian Culver as a write in candidate for President of the United States of America. It would be my honor to serve you. I am taking campaign donations now in an effort to get some national exposure.

I promise you change!
(buy a pepsi from me and I will give you change back from your dollar!)
***************************************************************************
UPDATE
Since I am not in office now as your elected President of the United States, please allow me to share with you what you have missed.

1.) Splitting of land of Israel about to happen later this month!  (I am not in favor of this!)
2.) Peace plan to be offered later this month between Israel and Palestine! (this will never work)
3.) Drones can be used against American citizens on american soil with no right to a trial. (I am heavily not in favor of this one!)
4.) USA is purchasing a billion bullets AND wanting to take away our gun rights (I am against this one too)
5.) People can be detained if found to be an enemy of the state, such as christians who stand up for God's Word. (I would never allow this to happen)
6.) USA Money has been sent to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Palestine totalling in the hundreds of millions of dollars! (I would not have given them one cent of american money!)
7.) Microchip about to be forced on people as a result of Obama healthcare plan, pages 1001-1004 (as a Christian I would never force this on people either)
8.) a muslim has been put in charge of our CIA. (how outrageous is this??  I would never have done this to our country!)
9.) for the first time in our history, a Christian pastor did not do the inauguration ceremony AND a Koran was used by our President (I am a Christian and would not do anything to support muslims into a position of power in our country!)
10.)  We have a muslim running our country and a socialist who is tearing down the very fiber of our country. (as a Christian, I would have and still do, put Jesus first in all decision making. Our nation needs to get back to its roots.  Christians need to stand firm in their calling to make their calling and election sure.  We need to be sharing the gospel message to all people)

Dear friends, we are living in the End Times right now.  The return of Jesus is very soon.  Are you ready?  Do you see the signs ahead that are warning you to get right with Jesus?  Today is the Day of Salvation.  Believe in Jesus, repent of your sins and walk with Him today.  If you are already saved, then I urge you to endure to the End!  Finish the race, finish the race, finish the race!  And all will be well with your soul.

May God bless you all today.  Live for Jesus in all you do.

The True Gospel Message hurts me...

When people go through life being spoiled it takes its toll on them.  You want a banana?  Go get one!  You want a new TV?  Let's get you a Big Screen TV.  You want a bike?  Let me buy you a brand new convertible mustang!  Or let's take it a step further.

You better stop what you are doing or else!  I'm going to count to three.  One, two, now come on, please stop what you are doing.  I'm going to put you in the corner for time-out.  On the count of three, I am going to do it.  One, two, please, please stop doing what you are doing.  It hurts me more than it hurts you to do this.  I don't want to have to punish you.  Please stop.  One, two........

Does that sound familiar?  It is sad and true that it happens everyday.  No discipline whatsoever.  Spoiled little children who grow up thinking the world owes them a living and crying FOUL if they do not get what they want.

This attitude has come into todays modern church.

1. sex outside of marriage
2. drinking in bars
3. tattoo's covering their bodies after paying God's money to people doing the devils work
4. hard rock and roll music promoting drinking and the devil
5. church hopping looking for a church that will condone a certain lifestyle
6. filthy language being used in a church
7. God's word not being preached, in fact, bibles are optional in church as most don't bring their own to church with them.  Their bibles are not opened at home and read.
8. If God's Word is preached, it is watered down to make sin sound like something in the 18th century and not meant for todays society.
9. preachers have earrings, tattoos, torn jeans and a very casual shirt to look cool.
10. motorcycles being driven in the sanctuary
11. magicians invited to perform in church

21. false teachers, false prophets abounding

The list goes on and on...

When God's Word is truly preached.  ALL of it, you will find people who have spoiled themselves with false teachings will cry the loudest when you preach against sin and the need for holiness and righteousness.  They will cry out when you mention that we are to be separated from the world. To come out of the world.  To put on the new man and become a new creature in Christ Jesus.  They will cry that it is not biblical to preach hell-fire.  They do not want to hear it.  Why?  Because deep inside, they know they are headed for hell and they do not want to be reminded about it.  Without repentance they will die in their sins and go to hell.  Todays church is just like the one that was prophesied about in the bible.  People will fall away from the faith.  The gospel message has become so watered down that it is all about entertainment.  Unless the people are entertained, they do not want the message.  They want to live in their sins.

Money -- it ALL belongs to God.  Show discernment in how you use it!  If your money is used for self and not for God, you need to change attitudes.  If you pay money to support someone doing the devils work, then you have just exposed where your allegiance lies!

Body -- it belongs to GOD!  It is HIS.  Honor it.  Don't mark it up with ink.  You are wonderfully made, why ruin it by making your body ugly with markings, especially when the person putting it on you is doing the devils work.  People put names of dead babies on their arms and they are doing EXACTLY like the pagans found in Leviticus.

Worship -- belongs to GOD.  It should HONOR HIM and not self.  Being in a church that plays hard rock music in not honoring God.  Playing the "Devil Went Down To Georgia" as a worship song shows EXACTLY who is being worshipped and it is not GOD.  Playing "I Can't Drive 55" which is a song about breaking the laws is not a worship song for GOD, it is worshipping the devil and his works.

And people will CRY that you MUST ONLY PREACH GRACE.

Listen...
We all sin and come short of the glory of God.  But that does not give us license to openly sin.  When we openly sin without repentance and without a desire to be right with God then His Judgment will come down on them when they die.  A true preacher of God's Word will warn the people.  We are called to sound the trumpet of impending danger and if we do not do that, then their blood will be on our hands, but if we do sound the trumpet and they still die in their sins, then their blood will be upon themselves and not on us.

We must preach on hell, sin, repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.  God's Wrath and God's Grace must BOTH be preached.  If you only want to hear one side then you are harming yourself.  Grow in God's Word.  Get away from false teachers, false prophets and any other men (or women) who will try to lead you astray.  The devil has gotten hold of men and has them masquerading around like they are men of God, all the while, they are out to deceive even the very elect.  Beware of false prophets!  Beware!

The True Gospel Message is a sweet sound and is not burdensome to the person who truly wants to know Jesus.  They will understand their need for a Saviour and will NEVER fall away!  And yet, there are churches out there that are enticing young people into their churches.  Not because they truly preach God's Word, but because they offer an entertainment environment and will hide the fact that they worship the devil.  Remember this -- any church that plays the DEVIL WENT DOWN GEORGIA, I guarantee, that church does not KNOW and WORSHIP Jesus Christ.  They put on a false front.  The blind fall for it hook, line, and sinker!  I pray your eyes are opened to the truth of God's HOLY WORD!

The Pollutions of the World...

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.  But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.  2 Peter 2:20-22

Why does a sow that was washed return to wallowing in the mire?  Because that is its very nature.  It's what it does as a sow.  We look at scripture that says a dog is turned to his own vomit and we think, "that is gross and disgusting!"  And yet, for the person who says, "Look at me, I am saved!" and yet he returns to his old life style with no regards for His Lord.  He loves his sin and does not hate it like he should.  His sinning should make him sick, it should turn him back to the Lord crying out for forgiveness and yet, he enjoys his sin.  After being told about our Lord and Saviour, he cries out "Yes, Lord, I believe!" and then with his eyes wide open he goes about sinning with no regrets.  It would have been better for him to not have ever heard of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Judgment will come down on him in a most terrible way if he does not repent of his sins.  In a fire, it is not the fire that kills people, it is the smoke.  They breath in the smoke and it chokes them to death.  Do you breath in iniquity?  Do you drink it down like water?

Now don't miss this important part of the verses above.  It does not say that they are again entangled therein, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  It has two words in there  "and overcome."  In other words "to be conquered" by it.  We all sin, which means that even after becoming a Christian, we will have times where we fall.  But we get back up!  We are more than conquerors, NIKE, we are victorious!  but for the person that is not saved, he is conquered by sin and is even more entangled in it than before.

Where do you stand today with Christ?  Are you living in your sins?  Do you have a grip on it.  Are your eyes focused on Jesus Christ?  Have you lost your focus?

Get yourself right with Jesus today.  Fall on your knees and repent of your sins.  Give your burdens to the Lord and allow Him to lead you in the ways of righteousness.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.  Philippians 4:8

If you feel yourself being led by the devil to return to the vomit so to speak, take God's Word to heart.  Think about those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtue and praise, think on these things.   There is no temptation so strong that you can't resist it -- UNLESS OF COURSE, YOU LOVE YOUR SINS!  And if that is the case, then you are like the sow that returns to the mire.  You do so because it is your nature to sin.

Jesus Christ has given you a new nature.  Become born again and experience a new life in Christ Jesus.  You'll be glad you did!  You will be eternally glad you did!

May God's love lift you up today!
