NIV vs KJV The Battle is On!

No battle here. KJV wins hands down! The other bible versions are perversions of God's Word. One quick look will tell you all you need to know.

Here is what KJV says about the morning star.
Rev 22:16 "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star."

Here is what the NIV says about the morning star.
Isaiah 14:12 "How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!" (this is in reference to Satan!)

KJV says about this same verse.
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

If you are not aware, there are HUNDREDS of problems with the NIV and the other perverted versions.

Here is a very small offering of WHY there is a difference.

NIV and others use the OLDEST known manuscripts. There are two in particular that are used. Between the two, they do not agree with each other so the people who put the NIV together have CHOSEN which verses to use out of each manuscript.

The KJV uses the Textus Receptus. This is not the oldest but there are thousands of these manuscripts around and they agree with each other in over 95% of the verses. And the places where there is a difference, it does not change doctrine.

You choose. Would you rather use the oldest manuscripts that DO NOT AGREE WITH EACH OTHER, or would you rather use the manuscripts that are without error?

As for me and my household -- we will choose the KJV Bible! The diety of Christ has not been altered as it has in the NIV.

Let the Battle Begin!

Thank God for that old homo, King James I (VI Scotland) - something else to thank the homos for (like computing - where would you be within Alan Turing's invention?).

Seriously are you serious - the KJV is full of errors in translation. Mind you the NIV takes liberties - skewing the Greek of the NT to suit its own agenda...

Thankfully I can read Koine Greek and make a weak stab at Biblical Hebrew. Either way there is a lot in the Bible that should be taken with a shovelful of salt - half of it is just made up, of that there is no doubt.

One of many problems with your argument is this...

you mention homos, if that was the overriding reason for "his" version, then why would he keep all references to homosexuality as being sin and worthy of hell? You would think those would have been removed.

as for the KJV being full of errors. NO. You have no idea of just how precise the KJV Bible is. There are absolutely no contradictions in the KJV Bible, NONE. It is God's perfectly preserved BOOK.

You claim that half of it is made up and yet archeology continues to find supporting evidence. Archeologist have TRIED to prove the biblical accounts as false but have never been able to do it, in fact, every thing that they find collaborates everything in the Bible.

You might have a "little" knowledge of Greek and Hebrew but that does not make you saved as many professors in Seminaries are as lost as they come.

You are picking at gnats when you should be devouring God's Word and coming to a relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

Do you believe that it must be the 1611 KJV?
