The title of my blog is Time 2 Change Churches. It is about bringing our churches "back" to biblical preaching and teaching. It is about seeing our church from a biblical perspective. Is your church teaching obedience to God's Word? Holiness? Reverence? Righteousness? Are you taught that it is necessary to be born-again? Where does repentance fit in with your walk with Christ? Do you evangelize? Or is your church just teaching you a new joke or two each week? PLEASE PASS THIS BLOG ON!

Joel Osteen Cult Exposed
It is almost Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for? Thankful that you are rich? That you have good health? How about that nice car that you drive around in? Maybe you are thankful that you go to a large church like Osteen's church. You feel good.
Here is something for you to be thankful for...
at the 1:54 mark of this video, Joel reads scripture (or something that HE calls scriptures).
Ephesians 1:4 in his bible says...
Long before God laid down earth's foundation He had us on his mind. Because of the sacrifice Christ made we are free people and not just barely free but abundantly free.
I have searched and searched only to find that his version of scripture is no where to be found. I have searched every major and nonmajor version of the bible with no success. He has twisted scripture for the purpose of giving his sugar coated message. Read what the KJV bible says about this scripture...
EPHESIANS 1:4 KJV
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Do you see it? Do you see how he is twisting scripture? Has it opened your eyes yet to the dangers of listening to this man and his self help drivel that he "preaches?"
I challenge you to look up every scripture that pops up on the screen on any youtube video of Osteen preaching, and I would be willing to say that none of his scriptures are found in the HOLY KJV BIBLE!
Are you thankful today? You are a sinner in need of a Saviour...For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV
It is not about health, wealth, prosperity and self esteem. It is about how wretched we are and how thankful we should be that God sent His Son to die for us on the cross. Jesus shed His blood and paid the price for our sins. If you would accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour and repent of your sins, you can be truly thankful today because heaven awaits you. If you continue to follow after false prophets even after they have been exposed then your thankfulness if found only on things of the world. I pray that your eyes of have been opened today to one who is truly a heretic of the faith. Leave Osteen but do not go chasing after other false charletons such as Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), TD Jakes, and so many others who want you to believe in the prosperity garbage. The Word of Faith teachings are FALSE, do not fall for them. May Jesus and Him crucified be all that is preached.
IN TRULY DO NOT AND WILL NOT EVER BELEIVE PASTOR JOEL OSTEEN IS A CULT.I BELEIVE HE IS A MAN OF THE CLOTH.AMEN
ReplyDeleteThe evidence is there for all to see. A true man of the cloth as you call him would never deny that Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven as he did on national tv on the Larry King Live show! The bible speaks of people who are ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the Lord. It also speaks of those people who are spiritually discerned. I pray that your eyes are opened soon before it is too late.
ReplyDeleteJesus says I am the way to the Father - not to Heaven; i.e. to know God as 'Father'; that doesn't rule out being able to know God in another way. Do not set yourself up as the Mind of God; or take upon yourself to know the limits of his Mercy... For that too is arrogance and brings its own reward...
ReplyDeleteRegards:
P.
Here is the full scripture of what Jesus said,
ReplyDeleteLet not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:1-6
Jesus says "in my fathers house" which is in heaven. Now continue on where he says, NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME.
THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO HEAVEN THAN THRU JESUS CHRIST. For Osteen to not stand boldly to claim that Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven, to the Father, is to deny Jesus. He will be judged as an unbeliever when his time comes unless he repents of his sin. And people follow Osteen like he is a true man of God. He does not know Scripture, in fact, he will twist scripture around to go along with what he wants to teach. The peopge following him are spiritually blind and spiritually discerned. "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned"
1 Corinthians 2:14
Osteen is not a man of the cloth, not a man of God. He is a false teaoher and is to be avoided at all cost. He smiles a lot and says a lot of nice feel good things, but he is a deceiver when it comes to God's Word.
when will people show some discernment when it comes to God's Word? They will follow any man (or woman) that leads them without knowing themselves what God's Word says about those people. Satan is the Great Deceiver and he has people fooled into thinking that these prosperity preachers are of God. TD Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, The Crouches, Joel Osteen, Bill Hybels, Rick Warren (not a prosperity preacher, just a wolf in sheeps clothing) are all out to do one thing. To keep you from learning about the God of the Holy Bible found in the KJV Bible.
ReplyDeleteRemember, the Bible was written by nearly stone age man. So who's to say your interpretation is correct. To me you are "any man". The KJV you keep referring to was written with a spin on it for the Church of England's doctrinal purposes. It's like the game telephone. The farther away from the source of the words the more the words become askew.
ReplyDeleteYou don't know any better than the rest of us. If I am going to hell for not listening to the likes of you, I think I'll quite enjoy it.
"Remember, the Bible was written by nearly stone age man." You must be kidding! to actually believe that stone age man wrote the bible. the Bible was written over a period of 4000 years! Very well educated men who were directed by God.
ReplyDelete"To me you are "any man"" That comment does not bother me one bit.
"If I am going to hell for not listening to the likes of you, I think I'll quite enjoy it." No, you will go to hell for not believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Burning in a lake of fire for all eternity is not an enjoyable activity and I pray that you be convicted of your sins. Following after Joel Osteen won't get you into heaven. You need to be entrenched into the Word of God.
It is sad that you sport judgement. It is the likes you that push many away from God and Jesus. After stumbling across Joel Osteen, I was led back to Jesus and a thirst for the bible. It has nothing to do with Joel Osteen, rather all to do with Jesus. I don't often listen to his sermons but he has inspires my return to Christ and now I have this unquenchable thirst to rebuild my relationship with Jesus. Judge not lest ye be judged. Shouldn't you be praying for people to find God and for the light of Christ to shine through the darkness that fills the world today? I recommend you spend some time with Christ and not condemn. As a pastor, shouldn't you be teaching about Christ and th love of Christ instead of condemn? I pray that God sends the world more pastors who talk about the endless love of Jesus, as oppose to the ones we currenly have such as yourself who condemns.
Deleteand remember that a man of the cloth would never, never, never twist scripture around to suit his own teachings!
ReplyDeleteJoel Osteen continues to lead people astray. There are many others who are following in his path. Joseph Prince has entangled many people with his stage presence (then again, that is what obama does too). False teachers who take scripture and twist the meanings of it to suit their own flesh will go to hell. They will be judged for leading God's people astray. It is a very serious matter for people to consider and should not be taken lightly. Before you go following after false teachers (and Rock Church in peoria is filled with false teachings), take into consideration...do they teach holiness? reverence for the Word of God? or do they preach you can be rich? God will give you whatever you want? Get a tattoo, it's no big deal? The difference between holiness and desires of the flesh is obvious, and yet I will have people on here defending their right to live their sinful life and still call themselves Christians. Sorry, if you live for the flesh YOU ARE NOT SAVED!
ReplyDeleteJOEL SCARES ME ...I KNOW SEVERAL PEOPLE INCLUDING MY DAUGHTER THAT THINKS THE SUN RISES AND SETS IN HIM...I'D FEEL BETTER IF THE SON ROSE AND SET IN HIM, ACTUALLY I'D FEEL BLESSED.
ReplyDeleteHe is scary because he deceives so many people. The sheep follow this wolf in sheeps clothing and they know not where he is leading them!
ReplyDeleteIts so sad to see thousands of people being drawn to the likes of Joel Osteen, TD Jakes, benny Hinn. All because of Prosperity! They are all part of the new era 'word of Faith Movement'. People do not take the time to dig deeper, into these type of people, for instance TD Jakes is a modalist (modalism)- Does not believe in the trinity! God does not need you to be rich to carry out his work! With or without our input - he is still a MIGHTY GOD.. There is so much deception, you have to pray for discernment..
ReplyDeletewell said Fran! Discernment is completely lacking in many so called "christians." They blindly follow a man either by the color of his skin, or by the promises he gives them. God's Word is abused by these men on a daily basis and the people are blind to the truth of God's Word!
ReplyDeleteThese poor souls have no foundation in sound Christian doctrine
DeleteThat being said I don't feel that you with all your pounding of the kjv of the holy word of god is sound . The kjv is true however incomplete. Protestants have chipped away at the word of god to suite their purposes also. Much earlier versions of the bible exist without the omissions that the " reformers" introduced to suite their purposes.
If Brian Culver is a pastor, I don't want anyone I know going to his church. I'm afraid that one day they will find the bodies all laid out in his basement after drinking the poison cool aide! Can anyone say "Crazy"? (you scare the crap outta me,Brian)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I am sure that the people you know do not go to church. At least, not to a bible believing church. Beware, lest you be one whom Jesus will say, Depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you! It must be a sad thing to go through life being known only as anonymous! I pray you get a name, a personality and a relationship with Jesus Christ some day!
ReplyDeleteTo the annoying anonymous poster who is too ashamed to give his name. Below are your statements with my comments in parenthesis ()
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that you sport judgement. (The bible tells us to judge those within the church)
It is the likes you that push many away from God and Jesus. (if people "leave" church as a result of hearing the need to repent of sins, then they were never following after Him in the first place.)
After stumbling across Joel Osteen, I was led back to Jesus (stop right there. You were led BACK to Jesus. In other words, you came to Christ first and then chose to walk away from Him)
and a thirst for the bible. (you have a thirst for the bible and yet you do not know what it says in regards to judging those within the church such as Joel Osteen)
It has nothing to do with Joel Osteen, rather all to do with Jesus. I don't often listen to his sermons (you don't listen to his sermons but you follow him anyway?)
but he has inspires my return to Christ and now I have this unquenchable thirst to rebuild my relationship with Jesus. (you want to rebuild your relationship with Jesus? That won't happen unless you repent of your sins)
Judge not lest ye be judged. (twist not scripture lest ye be like Satan)
Shouldn't you be praying for people to find God (I pray for the lost people everyday!)
and for the light of Christ to shine through the darkness that fills the world today? (the light that shines is God's Holy Word. But certain people do not want to hear God's Word, they only want to hear "part" of His Word -- that God loves them. Remember, God is ALSO a God of WRATH!)
I recommend you spend some time with Christ and not condemn. (nice recommendation, but not at all biblical in the context of this article)
As a pastor, shouldn't you be teaching about Christ and th love of Christ instead of condemn? (again, teaching about Christ is preaching ALL of His Words. He taught more on hell than anyone else in the bible!)
I pray that God sends the world more pastors who talk about the endless love of Jesus, as oppose to the ones we currenly have such as yourself who condemns. (The world loves their own. They enjoy having their ears tickled. That is most likely why you fell away the first time. A true child of God would NEVER walk away from Christ. NEVER! What will it take for you to walk away this time? As soon as something bad happens in your life, will you blame God and say you didn't get what was promised? Most likely you will. When a person is truly saved, he will not fall away just because someone said something he didn't like, he will not fall away because he had to suffer. You need to be right with God since you do not know His Word. I pray you acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of repentance. Without repentance there is NO SALVATION. Do you understand that? There is NO SALVATION without repentance. And these are the very words that your own Joel Osteen refuses to preach on.)
To the anonymous poster from New Jersey, I will not post your video on my site. It goes against the bible. You are willing to stand up in defense of a man who will take God's Holy Word and change words in scripture to match what "he" wants to say. The man is a false teacher and is to be shunned. Anyone who would stand in his defense does not know Scripture. Or else, you plan to defend the Devil for the way "he" also twists scriptures to mean what he wants it to mean! Be a man, and post your name so everyone can see what side of the fence you stand on. You are either for God or for the Devil. You cannot serve both of them. The Devil knows Scriptures and he will twist it to mean something else -- Osteen does the EXACT SAME THING!

ReplyDeletePastor Brian I thank God for people like you. Me personally I didn't realize all this things about Joel Oesteen now that I read your point and went on to research for my self. I can see what now! Oprah Winfrey doesn't believe in Jesus coming to die for us on the cross but she introduce Joel as her favorite pastor how come? I found out that pastors like joel, joice and Benny hinn they believe that we are little gods that's why satanic people like Oprah honor them like that.
Beke, thank you for your comment. I pray that God continues to open your eyes to the truth and to have discernment when people are trying to deceive even the very elect. May God continue to bless you in all you do.
ReplyDeleteI thank God there are still people like Pastor Brian who just tell what the Bible like us to speak about false teachers. We must not just believe what we hear from someone who teach about God but we must test every spirit whether they are from God.
ReplyDeletePastor Brian, I agree with you. Osteen is a creep. I also agree with Anyonymous. You are a creep. Yes the bible also teaches fear, but what makes you a creep is your preference to teach it. Sorry to tell you, but your hate of Osteen and all else popular, makes you sound like fear monger. Honestly if I had to choose Osteen or You.. I'd pass on both. Oh, and I'm anyonymous because you dont sound trustworthy. I'd fear for a hate crime..lol
ReplyDeleteto Anonymous from Tennessee, so name calling is appropriate from someone who claims to be a Christian? Sad. Nothing in this post is said to promote fear. It is all about walking with Jesus and understanding that His Words are true and without fail, they convict the sinner to come to a point of repentance. I pray that you come to that point of repentance. Without it there is no salvation. There is hope and it is only found in Jesus Christ, but that hope is no hope when one lives in their sins without repentance
ReplyDeleteto anonymous, you contradict yourself and I want you to consider the statement you said. Do you believe in absolute value? If you said there is no such thing as absolute value then that in and of itself is an absolute value statement. If you do believe in absolutes then consider what you said...
ReplyDelete"The kjv is true however incomplete"
it is impossible to be both TRUE AND INCOMPLETE. If it is incomplete, then it CANNOT be true. If it is TRUE, then it CANNOT be incomplete. The two do not go together. I choose to believe the KJV for several outstanding reasons. The bible tells us that no good has ever come out of Egypt or Alexandria and yet, the very versions you want to use come from those two places. The KJV comes from Antioch, the home base of the Apostle Paul. One is the place where they sent the Apostle Paul away to be killed and the other is the place that Paul always returned to prior to leaving on another missionary journey. You have nothing to back up your claims, nothing at all. Maybe it is not so much the KJV that bothers you as it is the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. I pray that the purpose you spread in trying to knock down someone who is LIFTING UP Scripture as opposed to someone who is TWISTING Scripture is revealed to you. It is not of God.
