Oprah

With Oprah throwing herself in Barak Obama's corner, I thought I would present this video again. She claims that there are many ways to heaven. She does not think that Jesus could possibly be the ONLY way to heaven. Now think about her judgment of endorsing Barak O.

She may be the queen of talk show tv, but Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
She will have to face Him one day and since she denied him on tv, you can bet, (unless she repents), that He will deny knowing her and send her to hell. I hope and pray that she has a person who loves her enough as a neighbor to tell her about God's Law and how exceedingly sinful she is in God's sight. Then she might finally understand WHY Jesus died on the cross. I don't think it makes any sense to her right now. The cross is foolishness to those unbelievers. Won't someone reach out to help her? I am sending a letter to her today. Let's all reach her for the sake of the cross.

one last comment today...

they talk about global warming...
why is it so cold in the midwest??? it's not even winter yet!!! brrrrrrr!!!!!

  1. I just wish she's quit telling everyone she's a Baptist. :) What can you say about the gospel according to Oprah. It's too bad. She could do a lot of goos if she'd take all that influence she's got and use it to preach the TRUE Gospel.

  2. I agree! You know who must really feel at a lost for words (at least you would think he would be) is her pastor. Looks like he didn't do a very good job of feeding his sheep! I wonder who her pastor is/was?

  3. unfortuneatly, I wouldn't be surprised if her Pastor agrees with her.

Even us Baptists aren't immune to apostacy here and there. :)

    LOL. I love that quote.

  5. if only she would bow down to her Lord and Savior. Just goes to show you that Pastor's need to make sure that the people are being edified in church with God's Word.

    Hey Timm,
I just wanted to help you out here. Let's change the wording to "there" and there! I am sure you are not including "yourself" as apostate when you say "here" and there!! :0)

  7. As a good Baptist would say,

    "Thaaaaaaats riiiiight!"

  8. I wonder if Oprah would let us get on her show to talk about Jesus with her and her audience?

  9. Probably as soon as Castro lets us send missionaries.

  10. it has to make you wonder, did she at one time, claim to believe that Jesus was the only way? and she changed her views because she did not want to offend her good buddy, Tom Cruise and John Travolta?? If she says Jesus is the only way, then she will not be able to get Tommy Cruise to come and jump on her couch again in the future! I am sure she is counting the cost (money) in her decision. Ultimately, she will be counting the cost with her eternal destination.

  11. I agree that she will be accountable. I also think money has some motivation for her.

However, I think the most thing is that she probably grew up in a church where the gospel wasn't clearly and accurately taught, she probably "asked Jesus into her heart," not understanding the gospel is a "death to self" gospel. It just so happened that this false convert got famous and has a big following.

  13. How old is she? low 50's?? I would have thought that while growing up she would have heard the gospel message plainly preached, but that was probably the beginning of the end as far as biblical preaching goes! Do you suppose she bows down to a pile of money when she gets home each night? How sad because she tells her audience that how "blessed" she has been by God (by god)! Terrible witness for Him!

  14. I'm not sure of her age. I doubt she bows down to money, but she probably has an idolatrous view of God, - aka, "my god is like this," and thinks her success is because of the god she worships; and perhaps it is.

Most people do not have a Biblical view of God, when you add fame and fortune to it, that usually doesn't make one's daily activities likely to bring a Biblical worldview to the forefront.

I'm not saying rich and famous people can't get saved or have a Biblical view of God, just that it doesn't seem to happen in the everyday course of life, unless it is like a Paul experience to Damascus.

  15. i don't think she bows down to money, she gives so much money away, is quite a philanthropist... this is a great video, and i was so happy to see women in the audience stand up for Christ :]

  16. When we see where Jesus said it is hard for a rich person to inherit the kingdom of heaven, we have to wonder about Oprah. She surely has tons of money and to hear her question whether Jesus is the only way to heaven, you have to wonder just what she does bow down to. You cannot serve to masters! It is so good to see people who are willing to stand up for Christ, especially in public and even more so on national TV!

  17. Giving money away does not indicate that one does not have a sinful love for money.

Sometimes a love of money can be utilized to give it away because of a heart idol of pride and approval of man.

  18. I commend her for not hoarding it all for herself. She does seem to be generous with handing her money out. Is it pride? not sure, I don't know her to make that call. I guess the problem that comes with having all that money is the false assurance that you have God's blessings "because" you have all that money. She seems to be convinced that she is a "good person" and she shows it by donating to those less fortunate, but if she is not willing to accept the FACT that Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins, then her being good just won't cut it! She has taken His death on the cross and made it meaningless in her eyes. She does not realize that she is exceedingly sinful in God's sight. Until she does, she is going to continue to fool herself into thinking she is saved when in fact, she is not. (and before someone comments back that it is unfair for me to say she is not saved, just go by her own admission that Jesus couldn't possibly be the ONLY way!)

  19. I agree with your points Brian. I wasn't saying that her money was evidence of her pride, and I wasn't at all criticizing her giving it away. That is a very nice thing to do and she should be commended for it.

I was saying though in response to Michelle, that her philanthropists activities also were not evidence for salvation either.

It is possible for it to be for the wrong reasons and we can't be the judge one way, or the other either.

Your words are very true in that instead of looking at the money thing, look at what people say. If they say unashamed that Jesus is not the only way, well, their words condemn them, not their actions.

It would be my prayer that she be witnessed to and come to know the Christ that IS the only way!

  20. I agree with you. I was pretty sure that was what you were saying, my comments were more directed at "other" people who might read it that way. You seem to be very solid on your understanding and right in-line with Scripture.
